gringal
Next weekend; February 7th and 8th, is the fourth annual Open Studios Event, sponsored by the Ajijic Society for the Arts and benefitting the Childrens Art Program at the Lake Chapala Society along with the artists of ASA. Last year, over $13,000 pesos went to the Childrens program. We hope to exceed that figure this year. $50 pesos for the "Passport" will admit you to over 19 locations and 58 artists homes and studios; both days. Hours: 10-4 both days. Artists will be demonstrating their work and you'll have the opportunity fo talk with them, enjoy the art work and have some refreshments. Passports are available at the Lake Chapala Society from 10-2, as well as at Diane Pearl's and Maria de Paola gallery on Colon, from exhibiting members who may be wandering the plaza or even at the doors of the various show places on the days of the event.
