IMSS renewal costs

Would anyone know the 2015 IMSS renewal fee for the various age groups ?

Any pro/con experiences with the current Director of IMSS in Chapala as in the past years numerous

foriegnors were denied coverage ?

We have paid the fees for six years, no exclusions noted on paper booklet & have not met with the IMSS Dr as recommended by the facilitator which seems strange.

Fortunately we have not had to use this " catastrophic insurance option " so far , hopefully never will have to & we don't mind supporting the Mexican medical system with this minimal contribution.

Appreciate replies based upon personal experience !

Thanks

My understanding is that one need to meet with an IMSS doctor in order to create a file. I did this a few years ago in Chapala.

We have been with IMSS since 2009 and never used it until my husband had a heart attack in November 2014....no problems getting into hospital. He was there for two weeks, one week waiting for angiogram which they did and a stent was put in. We left with meds for a month. If you want more info about the experience send me a message

The director from Chapala is in Joco and has been for about a year. We have had to talk to her and she always was nice to us. We have never had any problems.

So there must be someone else in Chapala now. Haven't heard of any problem in a long time.

Been with IMSS since October 1999. Had lingual hernia surgery this past Monday. Through November 2014 and December, I had clinic appointments, blood tests, xray, ekg, evaluation by a cardiologist (because of my high Bp), and met with the surgeon twice. I spent one extra day in the hospital due to my BP and they wanted to make sure my bowel movements were normal. Recovering now. No pain, but I tire easily, The bureaucracy is painful, more I think than the surgery.

Does a family have to pay those rates for each individual, or is there rates for families. I wondered how a laborer, who loses their job, can afford to keep up with those payments until they get another job. Wow. THat is steep for a Mexican.

You can use a service to handle your application process and all of your questions. They are at LCS Mondays and Tuesdays 10-1. imssinm@gmail.com Veronica or Lucy Lucy worked for IMSS for 27 years and is now retired.

We have used their services many times. Have saved much time and money.
