The Restaurant at Hacienda del Lago will be opening for the 2015 season with a distinctly Mexican direction and a more accesible price point. With current exchange rates even more in the expat favour a three course meal with margarita or Mexican wine is just under $20 USD. We also have an extensive gourmet Taqueria Menu in addition to our traditional menu.

Order of three mini Tortas Ahogadas, traditional of Jalisco. Traditional crunchy role field with duck confit and “drowned” in traditional tomato and arbor chile sauce.

The Mexican Foie Gras, Beef bone marrow broiled in a clay casserole dish served with hand made tortillas, onion, green chilies, cilantro and “esquites”, traditional Mexican stewed corn.

Caesar Salad

The Caesar Salad, invented by Italian/American Caesar Cardini, was created on one particularly busy night, in 1924, at Cardini’s Tijuana restaurant with what limited ingredients he had left. We follow Cardini’s original recipe using fresh romaine leaves and Parmesan with our traditional Caesar dressing prepared tableside.

The Restaurant opened two weeks ago for the 2015 season. Our taqueria menu has more than just tacos, sopes and gorditas. All handmade tortillas in house with a wide variety of "filling" options available.

This year we are going a very traditional Mexican route, of course with our gourmet take, but at much more accessible prices so that everyone can enjoy the beautiful Hacienda setting. Right now we are open Thursday - Sunday but if there is enough demand we will open more days.
