January 25 - Robbie Burns Supper in Support of Niños Incapacitados

Recommended Posts

Robert Burns, Scotland’s greatest poet, was born on January 25th and on that date, around the world; we celebrate with pipes, kilts, haggis and dancing. Ajijic is no exception: We invite you to mark your calendars now and join us on January 25th at 5PM for an evening of Scottish entertainments, a wonderful dinner and ‘a wee hauf’!

The festivities start with bagpipes and Scottish Country Dancing, which you can enjoy with our very own Ajijic Scottish Country Dancers ! They will invite you to join them on the floor for a ‘birl’! We hope you will ‘Brawlie’ (bravely), wear some tartan and join in the Grand March. There will be a delicious dinner, including haggis and a wee dram to go with the Toasts. To round out the evening there will be a Scottish sing-along including Auld Lang Syne.

Location: Hotel Real de Chapala

We’ll begin the evening in the Salón Camichín, on the lower level to the right of the stairs and then, the tartan wearers will march us in to the Salón Eucaliptus for dinner.

Tickets are $375 pesos a person. To book tickets, reserve a table for 10, or seats at an open table, please contact Linda Hendy at 106-1281 (answering machine available), or linda.ppni@gmail.com. You can also go to our website:
