jrod
I have some specialty items like corn cakes and protein bars that I know I can't get in Ajijic. Can I bring them across the border? Go to www.senasica.gob.mx, type the following in the search bar and you can download the document showing the food items restricted from import into Mexico: 1 Anexo 16. Orygun Duck
Maybe I'm missing something because of my poor Spanish, but the list referenced above seems to be items PERMITTED rather than restricted.

jrod
Page 1 of the Senasica link I posted above identifies those food items permitted to be imported into Mexico; pages 2-8 detail restricted or forbidden foods, both for human or animal consumption. More Liana
In the Senasica PDF file, only the items shown in bright yellow are prohibited.Notice that all kinds of spices are allowed--many people including me have long believed that spices are prohibited. Good information, the list is great
Yo1
I brought my spices with me when I moved 9 years ago. I labeled them "condiments" and Aduana was fine with that.
