elevator Posted December 21, 2014 Report Share Posted December 21, 2014 After our Lola passed away last Wed. we knew at some point soon we'd find a new companion for Trixie. The folks in my Spanish class knew about Lola and I was showing them a photo of her. One of the ladies in my class said she had just recued a puppy from the middle of the Carretera, who had almost been hit by a car. She said he was a poodle mix and looked very much like Lola. We had planned on going to Lucky Dog Saturday, but decided to go see this one first as she lived very close to us. My wife prefers females and we weren't looking for a dog that looked like Lola particularly. Of course we took Trixie along, because her opinion mattered most. When Sandy opened the door and this little guy came bounding out we both couldn't believe it. He could have been Lola's puppy. He and Trixie began to run and play right away and usually Trixie just ignores other dogs. Fifteen minutes later we had a new family member who is already bringing smiles back to our home. Guess it was fate. The vets couldn't believe ho much he looks like Lola. We named him Rafi. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
