eagles100
While we're on the subject, is this casino a good one? Lots of slots? I wanna go, somewhere in Guad, to a large casino for my birthday.
ComputerGuy
It's ALL slots, last time I was in. And a bar. And a lot of bored, well-dressed, middle-aged Mexican ladies.

ComputerGuy
Today's Reporter mentions that laws may be passed soon to allow table gambling in Mexican casinos, not just electronic games like slots and poker machines.
Solfeggio
We have been to Twin Lions several times to see Daniel Cordero, who was playing there under contract. The place is enormous, almost exclusively slots, even with smoking and non-smoking sections. Very classy, and when all but one GDL casinos were recently shut down for practices that were not up to standard, I heard the Twin Lions was The One that that stayed open. They have a dress code, but it isn't super strict. Can recommend Twin Lions as high class and managed well.

RVGRINGO
It is on Av. Mexico, west of Lopez Mateo, on the right side of the avenue. The two lions are easy to see.

eagles100
Wondering if there is a restaurant at Twin Lions and is it any good.
Semalu
Twin Lions is right beside a very good Italian restaurant called Italiano, less than a block away, almost right on the Glorieta. It is across the street from the shoe mall (Galerias de calzado). This is a private restaurant that has been around for decades and is not to be mistaken for the chain called "italiani's". This is the only restaurant whose wine cellar made the wine spectator list in Mexico 3 years back. Also down the road on Ave. Mexico, between Golfo de Cortez and Terranova there are several very good restaurants, including La Matera. Both Italiano and Matera are 4-5 star. Tacos Providenica is also nearby, on Juan Palomar y Arias between Ave Mexico and Vallarta. It is considered one of the best Taco restaurants in Gdl. Have a lovely birthday. eagles100
We went to the Twin Lions Casino today, 2 couples. There we lots of slots but the place was humming with locals so you had to search out for machines. I'm not sure if it was extra busy because of the holiday season or it's always that busy on a Tuesday. We might have seen 2 gringos lol, well except for us. We came out a little bit ahead, always a bonus. We also had lunch at the buffet, which starts at 2 pm. It was pretty good though I wouldn't say outstanding. Cost for lunch buffet: 125p Breakfast buffet is 85p. If it's your birthday, you get a free buffet + 100p for playing the slots.
