Planting A Seed Of Hope

Organic School Garden Fundraiser for the Ramon Corona Elementary School in Chapala Community.

Saturday December 6th, 2014 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Huerto Café, 212 Hidalgo (carretera) in Riberas Del Pilar

(next to Zona Gym and Toscano's Restaurant)

An afternoon of fun filled activities will be the theme of this one-of-a-kind fundraising event to happen in our own backyard.

The afternoon will consist of a silent auction of donated items, music, ballet folklorico dance and a photography exhibit of the progress of the school garden. Food and drink will be provide by Huerto Café (no host).

Admission to the afternoon event will be a donation of a new or used garden tool or $100 pesos suggested donation (no one will be turned away due to lack of funds).

We are asking for any of the following items as donations: new or used wheel barrows, rakes, shovels, hand trowels, pitchforks, garden gloves (small sized), watering cans, earthworms, heirloom seeds.

All proceeds of the event go to assist the Ramon Corona Elementary School Organic Garden.

The food grown in the garden is necessary to feed the families of the 40+ students of the 4th grade.
