MtnMama Posted November 26, 2014 Report Share Posted November 26, 2014 This idea will be explored more fully in Jackie Kellum's December Ojo column, but I wanted to float the idea before American Thanksgiving for those of us who will be guests during this holiday. This will help the shelter animals have a Happy Thanksgiving and a better holiday season.As a hostess gift, rather than bringing a trinket or another bottle of wine, how about giving a donation, in their name, to one of the many animal welfare charities this season? I am sure Anita's or the Dog Ranch or Operación Amor or Operación Compasión or Friends of Animals Cat Shelter or Lucky Dog or Lakeside Wildlife Rescue would be thrilled if you wrote out a nice card and gave it to your hostess with the corresponding donation to the charities PayPal account.
