Mainecoons
Has anyone tried this yet? Get WalMart bank account, deposit funds in U.S. and withdraw them here using debit card? That would end this reliance on third party ATMs which seems to be constantly plagued with problems and unexpected changes and fees.
milned
We did not use Walmart, but have used Soriana. Thinking it might be similar. The problem we had was that it always required two trips to get the money. Even if our account showed the money had been wired, Soriana never had the funds available for us on our first trip there. We had to return, usually the next day, always after noon and sometimes early evening, when a cashier had accumulated enough in the till to give us our money! We are back to using an ATM machine. Will be curious to see if Walmart is more efficient.

I've had a Banco Walmart account for years,I'm not sure I understand how that would work, when WalMart tried to offer banking services in the US the banking lobby prevented them doing it,has that changed?
