gog4kitty
Where are the best thanksgiving buffets? The place I have gone to has steadily gone downhill to where I refuse to go there. I'll just say near old casino. Any and all opinions for another place are welcome. Thanks!
Gilligan
We did Nuevo Posada last year and it was very good. They do multiple seatings at specific times. Very traditional US Thanksgiving with all the trimmings. Nice and hot, great service, and great setting.
gringal
Nueva Posada is not a buffet, if that's what you are seeking. I think it's about $280 pesos per person, but has a very extensive Thanksgiving dinner offered I think Manix restaurant in downtown Ajijic usually has a Thanksgiving buffet. Los Telares may have a buffet. They did two years ago. All the restaurants will probably be advertising their Thanksgiving dinners in the next issue of the Guadalajara Reporter. sm1mex
Salvadors. Not fancy but everything included with glass of wine or margarita, buffet, all you want to eat, including real ham for 180 pesos. Food is delicious and home cooked. Need to make reservations. We were told ad would be in this weeks coming Reporter.

gringal
Manix has a buffet but no seconds and the food is not that great. Can't argue with that. It used to be better, but has gone downhill, IMO.
jle
I think I will pass this year on the Neuva Posada seeing that the chef who use to make the Thanksgiving and Christmas meals is no longer there. I am not sure if they can recover this fast. I have had the Thanksgiving meals there for a few years and they have been wonderful, but this year I will cook at home instead of spending that amount of money and not knowing if they will have their act together for this.
