ComputerGuy
Yay, let's get more fun food trucks going. The owners of this one want to be interesting like the ones we see on TV. It's parked across from Christian's place on the west side of Ajijic, near Janice Kimball's art studio on the side road that meets the street you would take to get to La Mision. Open in the evenings... not sure when 'til when. We got there about 7:30. They offer a variety of burgers, from arrechera to shrimp. Prices go 45 to 55p. You can get beer or soft drinks. We had the arrechera and shrimp. Not bad, I must say. I wouldn't go running off to this place, but it is a great alternative for after-dark fast food, since we really don't have much like that around here other than tacos or (some pretty awful) street hot dogs. The arrechera burger was chunks of meat. They have a few special dressings, like garlic and pepinillo... and they serve the burgers with platanos macho with stir-fried onion, rather than french fries. That combination is surprisingly tasty and far less greasy than a plate of fries (against which I have nothing). There are three sit-down tables, and while we were there, well-dressed "young people" came and went from their parties or bar-hopping or whatevers. They are at this location for now to see if it works for them.
