A soldier has been gunned down in front of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the Parliament Buildings are under lockdown until they find the shooter. Because our area is peppered with expats from Canada, and this is the kind of world news that is important to us all, no? Just heard the afternoon press conference, hosted by the RCMP, The Ottawa Police Services, and the Canadian Military. Confirmation on the dead gunman inside Parliament Buildings; one report has a second gunman hijacking a car and kicking out the occupants.
