We all love to criticize the govt, but I am impressed at how quickly and efficiently they mobilized to get essential services up and running again in the wake of such a disaster. Was gut-wrenching not to be able to get ahold of my daughter who lives in Todos Santos for 5 days, but finally made contact on Friday when they got the cell service back on. She said the electric was back on in most places there, there was gas for their cars, water, etc. and food had been distributed, altho they wouldn't have starved because all the mangoes, avocados and coconuts blew off the trees, whether the trees came down or not. It's a mess there, tho, and will take a long time to rebuild.
