Mostlylost
I can't understand how 58 miles vs 70 miles would save 30 to 40 minutes unless you were driving 160-200 miles per hour.
Mainecoons
That south to east route is slower than it looks. Two lanes on the south side, no shoulders, lots of trucks and a 35 mph speed trap on the east end. If you are going north there is absolutely no reason to go that way and pay higher tolls in the bargain. We actually stopped that going that way when we found it was quicker and a lot cheaper to drive through town. Now with the west bypass, this will be the best way to go for sure. conejorapido
Drove this new bypass yesterday. What a treat! Excellent road, light traffic, scenic, and definitely a time saver.
Mainecoons
Yeah, I don't know why because it is more west than north but there ya go. Maybe it is because the first part opened was mainly the north bypass to the road to Zacatecas. But the entire new road circles San Luis Potosi on the west side. Whatever you call it we definitely will go that way next trip to Texas. An absolute no brainer over the previous routes.
