simpsca
Viva Mexico restaurant will be open again this weekend, Sat & Sun Aug 30 & 31. There is still construction on the street in front of the restaurant but you can park on the street beside the restaurant or on the carraterra and walk one block. The street is two way, last time I looked you could continue down, turn around and go back up. The tianguis is on Tuesday so will not interfear with parking or traffic. lakeside7
I am not sure why he decided to close for the construction going on in the street...you could park there after the work guys had gone home and you can park on the side street ..if he wanted to minimize the inconvenience and lost revenue, people would come and find a place and support him
Xena
Augustine has been in business in that location for a long time. He is an astute businessman. I am sure he has his reasons for making the decision he did.
d-d
Have you seen the road construction project? First the sewers were disconnected with a five foot trench down the middle and dirt everywhere. Then the water was disconnected and more trenches. The delivery vehicles can't get down the street. No beer trucks. No Coke trucks. No water trucks. Food would have to be hauled in. The construction guys have been working until 7 pm or later. Most of Viva Mexico's business is done by then. The noise from the heavy construction equipment would make dining unbearable as would the dirt. This was supposed to be a two week project and I think it will be four weeks tomorrow. I don't think anyone anticipated the problems.
