gringal
Too bad it is on Fxxxbook. Do your own site! Or start a forum here! I am still wondering what it's going to take for people to become disillusioned with Fxxxbook. So please, give us the information some other way. It's an interesting subject. MyHomeSweetHome
gringal, i'm not computer savvy enough to keep up with a forum page, blog or a yahoo group which I've tried for different things over the years. They take updates and I find yahoo not user friendly whereas FB does it's own updating. To me, FB is user friendly without the fuss.

MyHomeSweetHome
I don't use Facebook either. Too intrusive. So intrusive that if you're not a member you can't see the homesteading page. I'm sure FB isn't any more intrusive than this public forum.

RVGRINGO
Homesteading? I thought that you lived in a civilized, populated area. No, I do not use facebook, twitter or a cell phone either; just a computer and a land line. If I am not at home, you will just have to wait a bit for a return call or e-mail. If you answer a cell phone while we are having a talk, it will be our last. I liked it better when people spoke correctly, could spell and read maps, etc. Now, there are some who cannot even read cursive writing. What is really terrifying is a population dependent on technology, but which has no idea how it works or how to function if it suddenly stops working. Imagine a sudden, permanent loss of just one thing: electricity. No phones of any kind, no fuel, no TV or radio, no food deliveries anywhere. No, that‘s homesteading for real.
