gringal
You could try the "everything" store in the south side of the Ajijic Plaza. I'm always amazed at what's on those shelves.
JRPJR
There is also an "everything" store on Madero in Chapala just slightly north of the plaza on the right hand side going north. They carry lots of kitchen stuff.. We looked everywhere in Ajijic and Chapala before finding an OK food processor there. Interesting place. Ferret
LOL! Lettuce spinner? Take a clean plastic bag, punch holes in the bottom with a BBQ fork. Put in the lettuce, go outside and spin the bag like a ferris wheel (full rotation of the arm and shoulder) by its handles. Works like a charm if you can rotate your shoulder like that and I've done it many times. p.s. don't let go of the bag while it's in rotation

bmh
Before plastic we spinned the salad in a kitchen towel , the ferris wheel method , we also had salad wire basket like the wire egg baskets and did the same thing. I like the pastic gadget way better.

ComputerGuy
Yes, today at WalMart. Green and white with a spinning handle on the side. Inexpensive. With the kitchen utensils, bottom shelf.
RVGRINGO
Just before we moved, we sent our salad spinner and a lot of other stuff to the Chapal Consignment on Morelos, west of the American Legion.

suzanjo
The rainy season is about over. If you wait a bit, it is so dry here, the salad markings are dry before u can get them into the spinner.

ComputerGuy
They are a tad difficult to see. They are not on a shelf; they are almost hanging on a peg, buried amidst a bunch of stuff. It was the color of the cardboard packaging that caught me eye, like "What's this new thing?" Only one of the three or four was sitting out far enough from the other junk to actually be noticeable at all.
