ibbocat
Having been told categorically 5 years ago by a lawyer that it is legal to turn right on a red traffic light, so long as there is no on-coming traffic, I have now seen Transitos stopping people who have done this! Please can some one clarify??
lakeside7
Seeing them is one thing..stop and ask why they have stopped the folks..and we will have the story. I assume the driving test tells us, if the traffic is clear, we can turn Right on a Red Light
hensley
You can also turn left of red if the traffic is stopped.
jguerin
The law permit it? turn left on the red!
cedros
The law permit it? turn left on the red! It seems to me from the driving test that you can only do this on one way street to one way street. I can't find the details at the moment. Floradude
You cannot turn left on a red light on a two way street.
lcscats
And the one that gets the gringoes all the time....You can't turn left and cross that solid line. Notice many of the streets that join the carraterra have solid lines in front of them. Turn where no solid line.
LadyB
Is there an official driving manual listing the "rules of the road"? Where can one get a copy?
desafinada
LadyB, go to the Mexico general section. Spencer has graciously posted a Jalisco drivers guide there. It is pinned at the top of the threads.
