ichbinsaege
My son is coming down for the summer, from May to end of July. He'll be 17 and is a varsity cross country runner and wants to keep up with running while he is here. I know he can run in Parque Cristiania, or on the malecon (though he prefers not to run on concrete since they run on grass). What I am wondering is if there are any other serious runners out there (or at least able to keep up with him for a few miles) that he could run with in the mornings. He's never been down here before and I'm not wild about the idea of him out running by himself until he has acquainted himself with the area better. IF you are interested, please PM me. I know this isn't until May, but I thought I'd get some feelers out there now. Thanks!
Go Solar
Check with the staff in the tennis shop at Cristiana Park, a couple of the tennis instructors may do "road work" or know of those who do. There are also some decent runners that use the running track around the adjoining soccer field he might link up with.
sayaca
Have him check in with Ricardo Gonzalez "Chicles", head guy of Club Ajijic runners and mastermind of the Chupinaya mountain race. Find him at glass and frame shop, Guadalupe Victoria 38, two blocks east of Ajijic plaza.
