The Sinaloa cartel has been making deals with the US and Mexican governments to trade information for ignoring their drugs deals for years. Quite obvious when Calderón was Presidente with very high percentages of Zetas, Gulf, Juarez and Tijuana cartel arrests compared to Sinaloa. This is not news just a reiteration. Try reading "The Fire Next Door" by Ted Carpenter to get a good history and "Narcoland" by Anabel Hernandez which names names, places and dates of meetings and events. There are many documented books on this topic which I have read, and I don't have the titles and authors on hand right now. They make good reading, and are a real eye-opener.
