geeser
There used to be a thermal bath in Chapala that Mexicans used and it couldn't cost much if they are still in business. It was located in the callejon that runs beside the Vet Supply store on Calle Madero that has a large cow out front on the east side of the street. Park and walk down that alley and ask. Many homes in Chapala have thermal wells and pools.

maggiesmom
The Monte Carlo hotel on the edge of Chapala has thermal pool, pergolas they are less expensive. If they have a DIF card you can get into the balnerio in San Juan Cosala for half price!
geeser
Chris, There is a Balnerio Thermales Los Higos that belongs to the edjio on the road to Guad out of Joco about 2 kilometers, on the left of the highway. I don't know if it is possible to ride a bus there, but I am sure the price is much lower for a pretty nice facility.

The shelter Corazon del Anciano en Joco has a Jacuzzi for use by the elderly. You can check with them to see if she can go there for hydrotherapy.
