giltner68
I walked into the Mexican Consulate in Laredo at exactly 1pm last Tuesday. It's an immaculately clean, quiet, pleasant, small building just W of downtown. No one there but me, I was escorted immediately to a nice lady and I began to layout my paperwork, she was most accommodating. I had prefilled a form and not signed so I could sign in her presence. I gave her my passport, 6 month statements, a copy of my passport pages of interest and two passport pics (she returned one). I had my new Bcert and apostille, she was not at all interested in them, not required. I was instructed to be seated for a few minutes, recalled, paid $36, took my pic and I was issued a new Temporal visa and I walked out at exactly 1:30. It was perfect, I've never been more pleased with any service N or S of the border. On the funny side, I spent 20 minutes trying to give back, or turn in my expiring FM3 at Bridge #1 (which is where you have to turn them in?) They seemed perplexed, like no one had ever done that before, but they were very gracious and eventually I persevered. Anyone want more detail, PM me. mkshawn
What continuing INM process followed in Mexico? We are just exploring the same thing for Permanent Visa.
giltner68
I turned it over to Spencer to process a week ago, then I'll have him do the Aduana dance as they now have $300 of my cash.
mkshawn
That was my thought, do you get to keep a temporary "Temporal" for use while the process continues?
giltner68
You come back into country on a 30 day FMM and Spencers office gives you proof of filing within a day or so to show should anyone ask.
