Solfeggio
We have a coffee table with folding sides that also raises to become a dining table. It is SO handy when we have company! However, two screws that mount the raising/lowering mechanism to the wooden table have fallen out. I know, it sounds so simple to just replace 2 screws, but we can't get a screwdriver down in there to replace them, even after releasing the powerful springs of the mechanism. It is like we need a screwdriver with a 90-degree bend in it! Does anyone know of someone who can fix this table?
JayBearII
Try Juan Bautista, 331-205-2791. He arrives with a set of tools and screws, and is an experienced carpenter with respect for your things. Not that it's relevant, but he put up pictures and mirrors on my walls and got them all perfectly straight and centered. He's a real professional in my book, as opposed to the guys who buy a hammer and think they're in business.
RVGRINGO
90 degree screwdrivers are available, and will require only about an inch of space. I may even have a set somewhere.
Solfeggio
We will check at the hardware stores for a 90-degree screwdriver. Usually we are pretty handy at fixing things, but can't get to these screws without one. If we can't fix it, will phone Juan Bautista. Thanks Jay Bearll and RVGringo!
