RVGRINGO
Your car must be legal to drive in the jurisdiction that it came from. So, I am always puzzled by folks who seem to think they can drive legally without current registration somewhere. Many get away with it until caught, or an accident, etc. So, keep up your registration or change it to SD, for example.

RVGRINGO
I suggest that you read the Jalisco transito laws. I will not argue the point. So, do as you choose, but I know of absolutely no place on earth where you may drive on the public roads without current registration and license. Getting away with it does not make it legal.
