Floradude
f you are INMIGRANTE, take a look at your card. I think it says clearly that you are a temporary resident of Mexico. Actually RVGringo my Inmigrante card says "The owner of this document is a resident of Mexico" in both Spanish and English.
AlanMexicali
f you are INMIGRANTE, take a look at your card. I think it says clearly that you are a temporary resident of Mexico. Actually RVGringo my Inmigrante card says "The owner of this document is a resident of Mexico" in both Spanish and English. My new Residente Temporal card doesn´t state that. It states Residente Temporal only. Is your card the old laminated Inmigrante Rentista?
RVGRINGO
Yes, the newer cards are different. My new card says RESIDENTE PERMANENTE at the top front, and my CURP is below my name. On the reverse, it states that multiple entries and exits are authorized. Simplification is a good thing.
privado
No you may have a black and white notarized copy of your Visa and it is legal in Mexico. This has gone through the courts. You must carry original drivers license. freshjuice23, on 28 Jul 2013 - 1:33 PM, said: I always carry a copy of my passport when living in Mexico in my wallet for those who are interested.. No other ID except American IDS.. Have fun trying to convince a bank employee or anyone else in perfect Spanish that it's a legal copy of your passport- same with copy of your visa-
