What public officials DO have the authority to demand showing your visa and passport and under what circumstances? All INM officials for any reason they feel fit. Federal Police to see if your vehicle or yourself are following ADUANA or INM rules and laws. Most federal and state institutions where your are applying for services. Banks and creditors, Notaries if purchasing property, landlords, airlines, driver license/vehicle plates and registration offices, IMSS, Seguro Popular, DIF, INAPAM, SAT, ADUANA if your vehicle has foreign plates and you are outside the borderĀ“s "Free Zone", and any other number of agencies and businesses you are doing business with in Mexico.
