My preference is Alaska because I think they have better service and I don't like going through the Phoenix airport. However for you going to Mossyrock flying to Sea-Tac will probably get you there earlier in the day and your driving distance might be a little less than from PDX. I would choose based on price between USAirways and Alaska. However to return (assuming you are returning) I prefer Alaska because you are allowed one free checked bag and only $20 each for the 2nd and 3rd checked bag.
