holdrja
This morning is another dark grey cloudy day. I remember that someone had mentioned a tropical storm off the west coast -- is this weather the tail, or edge, of it?
KathyTX
Erick. He got to Category 1 yesterday but he's a tropical storm again today.

holdrja
OK, but the question is -- are these tropical storms reaching us here at Lake Chapala, and affecting our local weather?
ajijicbound
I would say yes. By looking at the animation on this link anyway at 12:30pm today. http://www.wunderground.com/tropical/tracking/ep201305_sat.html

giltner68
Well, "getting to us" to do any good? - no, but blocking our normal pattern which does bring us rain, so maybe one this one clears out we can resume out normal season.
El Saltos
Normal season is storms in the Pacifc and Atlantic. This is normal.
Wookie
If it is these storms that are causing us to have mainly cool, cloudy days and very little rain ... I hope they move on quickly. It sure seems to us that this rainy season has not come in with a bang ... sure hope it goes out with one for the lake's sake. It seems like to us that even though this is the season for storms off the coast that it has never interfered with the rain this much ... if that is what is doing it. Mainecoons
Main problem is that easterlies are very weak thus far.
