Aquaponicsman Posted July 2, 2013 Report Share Posted July 2, 2013 THE JEWEL BALL The Jewel Ball is a fundraising event for the Ajijic Orchestra and the International Institute Merit Scholarship Fund. The event will be located at the new campus on the Libramiento. Tickets are $200 MXN each and can be purchased through the school or at Mia's Boutique, Diane Pearl's Collections, or Opus Boutique. The date is Friday, 5 July 2013 from 6:00PM to 10:00PM. If people are not going to be able to make it they can still buy a ticket or donate as the money goes to a good cause. There will be a silent auction that includes artwork from area artists and a door raffle (you get a ticket for coming, but can purchase more) with prizes such as free Spa Treatments, Haircuts, Dinner for Two provided by local businesses and restaurants (for example, $400 MXN gift certificate to La Nueva Posada). There will also be a Home Aquaponics System Raffle. The Aquaponics Raffle is selling 60 raffle tickets at $100 MXN each. Each ticket is a chance to win the Aquaponics Home Unit (retail value: $3000 MXN). To operate it doesn't need anything except fish food. It has a small solar power unit that is enough to power the motor or it can be plugged into an electrical socket.
