holdrja
I love soba noodles but don't like to pay imported food prices for them. Anybody know a local source for these noodles?
Canamex
To get local, non-imported noodles, you'd have to start with a crop of buckwheat. How likely do you think it is to find that temperate weed, er crop, here? If you're lucky you might find Bob's Red Mill buckwheat flour at Superlake (at imported prices) in which case you can buy a pasta maker or attachments to a Kitchen Aid and make your own. All in all, the imported stuff sounds cheap compared to the work involved.
