Floradude
At my house in Upper Ajijic I had 2.5 inches (6.3 cm) of rain this morning. It is still raining albeit very, very lightly.

george
Isn't it wonderful! I remember reading, I think in the Reporter, that the rains would start on the 13th. Right on schedule.........the rest was warmup....george
giltner68
The Riberas weather station is showing 2.6" and Villa Nova 2.99" so a nice start, the casas should start cooling a bit now which will be nice.
LaChula
My 2 raĆn gauges each measured just under 4 inches by the time it stopped. I live in Ajijic. This was how it used to rain every day or night when I first came here. More lightning and thunder, though, then.
cedros
It looks like there are 3 winners for guessing the real start of the rainy season-June 13th. El Saltos, FHBOY, June 12Datura, Cedros, RVGringo, June 13BobK, Liquipure, Herman Santiago, jrm30655, BarbNapa, Luisa, June 14 1/2 inch last night in San Juan Cosala. Maybe we'll have to wait a bit to see if it is here to stay.
Floradude
It has rained every day for 4 days. I submit the rainy season started earlier.
cedros
I did get rain on the 10th, 11th and 12th but only a trace each time and it came from the north or the west. My grass didn't recognize it as the rainy season. Today's rain came from the east. Lets see what the Guadalajara weather people say.
giltner68
The east pattern is the one we need, that's where our ongoing rains come from, the ones from the west are more "accidental" than on purpose.
