gary0131
Has anyone attempted do their Permanante immigration card by them self without a facilitator and what it would cost?
satnrose
I know many who have successfully done it in the past. There have been problems and confusions this year so I think more might be using a ficilitator.
John Shrall
I did ours solo in the first few days of the implementation of the new law last November. At that time no one knew anything but by early February we got our cards. Things got a little more chaotic around the 2 week Christmas break but as long as you give them what they want you should be OK. The cost has been posted here and I believe it was $1,000 application fee and $3,815 for the permanente visa.

Straydogges
We did it ourselves this year, too. No problems. You need to have some Spanish to navigate the INM website and get all the correct forms, etc., but it can all be found there. Took exactly 2 months from start to finish. Ours was fairly easy since we were going permanente based on 4 years as a temporary resident. Cost was about what the previous poster said. mudgirl
Seems like anyone who is applying for permanente based on at least 4 years here should understand enough Spanish to fill out the very simple INM form online.
