solajijic
You might just tell us what lots you guys are interested in because someone here may know. Stranger things have happened. I know about 3 lots scattered around Ajijic village. The big lot across from Nueva Posada hotel specifically.
Animalover
In this Country, this kind of information is confidential! A lawyer can get it...
Intercasa
Information can be obtained, easier if an attorney gets it as someone who speaks Spanish needs to go to the tax office but also people need to know how to accurately describe where the property is and herein is where the problem lies as many streets have few reliable numbering systems. To locate an uninhabited lot you should know cross streets and know measurements of the lot as well as how many meters it is to the nearest street corner from each side of the front of the property. Many people show up, even us if the client doesn't inform us well and it is nearly impossible to get the information without exact location and measurements and even then at times it can be tough due to characteristics of certain neighborhoods. geeser
It is a problem that many lots have not had taxes paid on them in many years and there is no record at Chapala as to who the owners might be. This plays into the hands of the squatters, some of whom are sent by a Guadalajara woman who pays them to squat properties. There are real estate agencies at lakeside that list properties and place signs on them even though they do not have contracts, nor even know who owns the prorperty.
