Pool Solar Panels: To Drain or Not to Drain

Our first year with these Interwater Panels. Have been wondering if there is any rational reason to leave them with water or without? We are not here for 6 months so no need to heat the pool to any further degree than with direct sunshine. I have a thought that when the pool is Shocked, that the water in the panels should be circulated then shut down till the next time Shock is applied. Comments past experience? Thanks!

They are really fine either way; the default reco would be to leave them operating "as is"; you'll probably keep your pool pump running the minimum # of hours per day while you are away; this will keep all the water in the system turning over and "fresh" without adding significant heating to the water, especially if you schedule the pump to run during non-peak sun hours.
