viejomalogato
Where to buy? Been to Wall-Mart, to no avail. Because of the Aduana, I don't want to ship in. Any suggestions? Thank you R
suzanjo
Let Upscale Resale Bazarre know you want one. They often get them in. Other bazaars may have them as well.
JRPJR
I think that the "kitchen" store in Chapala on Medero between the vet (Cow) and the plaza carries some. Fun place to check out.
Fox
Where to buy? Been to Wall-Mart, to no avail. Because of the Aduana, I don't want to ship in. Any suggestions? Thank you R This is just a heads up. We bought two here in Mexico and even on LOW setting, things still boiled. One was even the Crock Pot Brand. Ended up having ours brought in from NOB. Goodluck, Fox

RVGRINGO
Just buy a large clay pot or caserola with a cover and put it on to boil, then turn it down to a slow simmer for the time required to cook the contents. It is so effective that local housewives would not opt for an electric model, which costs many times more and also increases the electric bill. The NoB alternative would be a Dutch oven; cast iron preferred.
chapala45900
Keep watching Wal-Mart, I bought one there before Christmas. The new store Coppel in Chapala also had some in the past. Theirs were larger than those at Wal-Mart. Good luck!
gimpychimp
A few doors down from Bancomer on the Ajijic plaza there is a store we call the "dollar store" and they have a selection of small appliances like this.
