jrm30655
I was at breakfast this week and caught part of a conversation where they were saying that TELMEX was finally getting up to 10-15meg download speeds. Anyone else heard anything?
johanson
Just a guess, but Telecable has both 10 and 15 Megs. Could they have been talking about Telecable? I don't think that Telmex has the backbone to support higher speeds, let alone the latest promised speeds.
MyHomeSweetHome
Telmex told husband, this last week, that they are putting in fiber optics up in the Chapala Haciendas/Brisas area starting in July, to be finished installing in August/September this year. Up to 20 mega bites at that time. We'll see.
Yo1
How much download speed comes with the basic Telmex internet package? I thought it was 1MB and was upped to 2 MBs without additional cost some time ago.

More Liana
10mgs being offered here in the DF, I don't know the price. There's a big Telmex-Prodigy-Telcel whoopdedo going on in the Zócalo this weekend where it's being promoted.

ichbinsaege
I'm also in Centro Chapala, and I only get 1.73 Mbps download, 0.32Mbps upload, and 42 sec. ping. This is surprisingly faster than what I was getting a few months ago, which was something like 1.20 Mbps download.
