A number of years ago the real estate brokers purchased the trash cans attached to poles all around Ajijic. Time and people have diminished their use. The Our Ajijic Committee is hoping to find out which ones are missing baskets or need to be repaired.

Please look around your neighborhood and post back if you see any that need help. Tell us the street and exact location as well as the problem.

One on colon 50 ft south from Zaragoza was taken down for a ride during carnival and never came back. Needs box and bracket.

The one on the north/west corner of Angel Flores and Colon is missing just the bracket is there

There was one down the street off Ocampo heading toward the lake where the soccer field is. However, it rarely was emptied and always overflowed, so I think the people who lived across from it got sick of it and tore it down. It is a sad thing that the city rarely emptied that one, and they rarely empty the two big concrete block garbage cans on either end of the soccer field. So the people watch games at the field just dump their garbage beside them, and it's a mess down there almost all the time.
