Rony
I would like to visit Mazamitla (just for half a day to see friends who have a restaurant there) and different people told me that (after taking the local bus from Chapala to Jocotepec) you can take a bus from Jocotepec to Mazamitla (so that you do not have to go through Guadalajara). Does anybody know how often, when and from where these busses run out of Jocotepec ? How long does it take to get there, from Joco ? Thanks, Rony
Fred Habacht
They don't run out of Jocotepec. You must take a taxi...cheep...to the Guadalajara/Mazamitla road. There is a covered bus station on the side of the road...wait for the bus that says Mazamitla on its face and sides....on the return trip just ask the driver to stop at Jocotepec. The bus runs frequently and makes many stops. I don't know the schedule. Fred Habacht
sparks
The Mazamitla road starts at Tuxcueca. You mean taxi there or just up to where #15 passes Joco at the T intersection The intown Joco Bus station is just up the street from the front door of the church. About 8 blocks from the Chapala bus station. You could ask there and taxi from there if you need to
