elstoncolin
Any comments on which Laredo bridge to use traveling north to the US these days? Do any of them have an easy-to-find customs/immigration office to turn in my import documents & sticker?
Mad_Max
Your post belongs under mexico general - if there, perhaps arroyo grande will see - although he doesnt post much anymore - but he is probably the best source - versus those that made one trip a few weeks ago
Rainbow
I take the exit that goes to the airport in Laredo--right at the light instead of left towards the airport. Turn right at the last traffic light BEFORE the international bridge. The road is kind of a lateral and goes to a large parking lot where you turn in your import papers. You don't have to go inside as there is a drive through at the end of the building that you pull up to and your sticker is removed and your import documents taken care of. Then you go back the way you came and turn right at the light and continue on to the bridge into the US. Safe trip!
RickS
The easiest bridge (in lieu of the Colombia crossing) is the International bridge. Approaching N. Laredo you will take a right at the intersection of hiway 85 (the road up from Monterrey) and Blvd. Luis Donaldo Colosio. This is a divided 4-lane that swings around by the Rio Grande River and right to the border crossing. After you have taken this right, go 4-6 miles? on it. When you are getting closer to the crossing watch for blue signs saying Modulo CIITEV... this is building where one turns in the vehicle sticker..... directing you to take the lateral that runs along side Colosio. There will be several blue signs so it is easy to find. You will actually go under the crossing bridge to get to this place. Yes, you do just get in an auto line outsides and next to the building to turn in your car permit sticker (there will probably be a line) but will also need to then park and go inside and turn in your FMM. When finished with that, retrace you steps a bit to the first place you can do a u-turn back onto Colosio. It's not far (100 yards?) to the border crossing from that u-turn.
