Mainecoons
I think that has been fully answered in the threads and the GDL reporter. Depending on the date sequence of your current FM3, you may have to bring additional documentation to prove you've had FM3 for at least 4 years. If you are Immigrado, that was a permanent visa and at some point it will need to be updated to the new status but apparently there's no hurry on that. The only unknown at this point is how they are going to treat temporary import permit cars under Residente Permanente. That hasn't been formally addressed yet. If you have a Mexican plated car, this is immaterial to you.
sparks
Totally depends on how many renewals you have on your current visa. Previous visas don't count. 3 renewals or 4 years on current visa allows you to go permanent
cedros
What prorroga number is on the back of your visa? With that information you should get a more definite answer.
Sailor
What prorroga number is on the back of your visa? With that information you should get a more definite answer. We had no prorroga number on our card as we were going for our 6th renewal. Therefore, we had to show financials to go permanente last week. We were told it would be 6-8 weeks.
