Alpha1
Importing a vehicle into Mexico has become a hot topic as a result of the new immigration rules which require that FM3 holders convert to "permanent" residency status after 4 years, which will result in the loss of their Temporary Import Permit (TIP). These folks will have to import their vehicle, or remove it from Mexico. The link below provides more information from the TioCorp Insurance website. http://www.tiocorpinsurance.com/index.cfm/driving-in-mexico/importing-a-car-into-mexico1/ TioCorp Insurance 376.766.4828 The above was recently received, is this new ? Mainecoons
You've assumed something that has not been confirmed yet.
dcstroker
Received the same e-mail. Sounds more like TioCorp making assumptions without the facts being confirmed.
hensley
If Immigration doesn't know, why would TioCorp?
Fred Habacht
The insurance man at Tio Corp is why I changed to Jesus Tejeda. When an agent knows less than I do....I move on. Fred Habacht
Alpha1
You've assumed something that has not been confirmed yet. I have assumed nothing. I was simply asking if this is new info.
giltner68
The article is self conflicting and makes some broad statements that are, as has been noted above, not confirmed. Nothing new here and until Aduana posts rules there isn't likely to be. If you want to know about importing, dig through my recent posts and you'll find the name and contact for a company in Laredo that does only that, cost is $1,300 to $1,500 depending on age of car.
