Ginger
Both varieties of the Kirkland brand butter are available at the Costco by Galerias Mall. I know there was an earlier thread about this so it's just an FYI.
HelperGuy
Whoa, really? Guess what's going to be sold out in a couple of days...

thevalerieleigh
GREAT! Thanks for the update. Hopefully I can get there BEFORE they sell out of the salted stuff... Valerie

HelperGuy
Jim from Lakeside Express deals with the newer CostCo and will be there on Monday with a list of items to add for delivery, including checking for the salted Kirkland brand. HelperGuy
Interesting. Jim contacted me today and said there has not been, and the inventory manager has no knowledge of, any Kirkland salted butter at either location. And I've been to the CostCo in Zapopan right after that OP and there was none. There is always lots of some Mexican brand of salted butter. Guest RevImmigrant
You can get a 3-pack of Lurpak at Sam's.
HelperGuy
Rev, did you buy a 3-pack and get the price, or did you just see it there? I pick up Anchor when Pancho has it at SL; much cheaper than Lurpak singles.
Ginger
The one by Galerias DID have it. The unsalted which I buy was higher up & the salted was underneath it. The 2 people with me saw it as well. It may not be there now but it was in October. This was the Kirkland brand, too.
maw7815
I bought my salted Kirkland butter at Super Lake. About $55 pesos
HelperGuy
Guess I'm going on the wrong day, because I look every time, and often I'm in CostCo every week. I check SuperLake several times a week, and I haven't seen it there for perhaps a couple of years. This constant search for reasonably-priced salted butter is more like a job than a curiosity for someone who cooks as much as I do.
Guest RevImmigrant
I bought the 3 pack, but didn't pay any attention to the price. It's food.

Melinda
I also looked for salted butter but could not find it. Was so disappointed. Will not eat Mexican butter. Find it tastes awful.
Guest RevImmigrant
If you use unsalted butter, you can add salt to your food as you like and don't have to worry about the salt content in the butter. You're right about the Mexican butter - it's awful. In addition to the Lurpak, the New Zealand butter is excellent. I haven't tried the Falfurrias butter from Falfurrias, TX. Joyfull
At Costco today by Plaza Gallerias...no Kirkland salted butter. Only Gloria salted...yuck.
HelperGuy
Apparently the popular deli/bakery on Colon (#8?) sells Tillamook salted butter. I can't imagine the price, though. (Speaking of Tillamook, suddenly there's an explosion of products by them at SuperLake in the cheese coolers, including sliced old cheddar and shredded mozz.)
