ecollard
I will be returning to Chapala soon, by plane, and am hoping to bring a bunch of unopened vitamins/supplements with me. I'm concerned that might be a problem for the customs people and am looking for up-to-date info on this topic. Does anyone out there know the current laws/practices? Thanks - E. JayBearII
I have brought vitamins and supplements (a dozen or more at a time) back by both plane and car and not had any questions or problems at customs. However, I would appreciate someone posting as to whether this is actually legal in Mexico.

suzanjo
There is no inspection done and no problem bringing supplements in, only prescription drugs can be a problem.
Studio del Sol
Label your package of vitamins "Nutrients." Drugs by prescription should have a note from your doctor on prescription pad or letter head and be signed by the doctor. At least this is what I've been told.
