Mainecoons Posted March 10, 2012 Report Share Posted March 10, 2012 For some odd reason, we haven't been to La Nueval Posada for a while and decided to take them up on their Friday fish and chips special. Arriving after 6PM, we also had benefit of their bargain priced two for one drink special. As usual, we sat out on the back patio with its gorgeous gardens and great view of the lake. The Fish and chips wasn't just the usual basket with nothing but fish and fries, it was a plate with a nice helping of slaw and tartar. The fish was obviously fresh, appropriately breaded and fried in very good quality oil. It was delicious and the portion was decent. The fries were OK, nothing special. Before the meal, a nice roll and butter was served. We had two glasses of wine, two beers and two orders of the fish and chips. Total bill was 185 pesos. Service was good though they were a bit slow with the check. We enjoyed a beautiful sunset and electrical show from the small storm that passed to the south over the lake. I am told that the veal special on Tuesday is very good as well. One is hard put to get the level of ambiance, service and food for anything like this price. We will return soon.
