gringal
The sorry state of the LCS wall on 16 Septiembre is now being changed.......finally. When it reached the three or four color patches with paint falling off point, it was approaching the "it's a disgrace" stage. As of now, Chimi (of Chimi's restaurant across the street from LCS) is putting on a two tone job with a gold top and terra cotta shade below. I'm looking forward to seeing the finished result. BTW: Here's a little plug for Chimi: We've had him do interior painting at our casa. He does meticulous prep work, a nice coating job and CLEANS UP AFTERWARD. That last part is important after having a few other painters here. Reasonable cost and he speaks fluent English. He can be found most days at the restaurant, helping his wife with breakfast and lunch.
Bisbee Gal
Yes, kudos to LCS; it was becoming an eyesore, especially for such a prominent landmark.
Mainecoons
Those of you who know the folks in charge of this personally, please remind them to keep some of the paints on hand to cover graffiti. It will happen and the graffiti volunteers have had to cover tags on a number of occasions. Hopefully, from here on out LCS will take care of any tags quickly so that we don't have to. Thanks!
