gknippel
We went to Costco yesterday and looked at evaporative (swamp) coolers. There was a wide variety, Honewell, Arctic Circle, and KuulAire ... ranging from 1,500 pesos to 7,000+ pesos. We plan to get something for cooling just the bedroom (@200 sf). Does anyone have any experience/recommendations with these devices? Places besides Costco we should look? Gracias GO PACK GO SUPERBOWL XLV CHAMPIONS We have an Arctic Circle, which we bought from Costco last year (I think around 2,000 pesos). It was a lifesaver last May/June. We used it for the living room/dining room area as well as bedroom at night. Worked great, you just need to make sure and place it in front of an outdoor air supply and have an exit across the room (like a cracked window) for air flow. paradise
how was your cfe electric bill during the months you used it?
MountainGal
how was your cfe electric bill during the months you used it? The bill wasn't bad. We still were able to stay out of DAC. These swamp coolers do not use a whole lot of electricity - not at all like Air Conditioners.
karen3678
I know it sounds crazy, but you do need to crack a window for air flow. They use about 25% of the energy of air conditioning. Researched this when we built our house in New Mexico.
