Maple Syrup

It's almost sap-running time up north, and CostCo in Guadalajara gets huge shipments of Quebec maple syrup at that time. As I recall, prices are about the same as you'd pay up north. They sell by the jug, and that's a lot of syrup for the money. (The jugs are plastic, and there's no way to see the color of the syrup, but it's still the real thing.)

Once opened, do the jugs need to be refrigerated?
