Ajijic Posted October 18, 2009 Report Share Posted October 18, 2009 I realize you ask about Cuernavaca so hope you do not mind but Queretaro state is second safest in Mexico and the city considered one of the safest in Mexico. I have a friend in Cuernavaca and visited there and it was a positive experience. The weather is great and drive from Mexico City through the mountains gorgeous. Very few expats but that is common in many places. Queretaro centro is several blocks of parks, laneways with shops and restaurants and prices lower than SMA and ultra clean.
