kramer
Hola fellow Spanish students, What is the best technique for quick and easy creation of special spanish characters using an ordinary English keyboard? I have found that comprehensible Spanish cannot really be written without the proper accents, etc. (é, «, ñ). I have been using this page: http://www.starr.net/is/type/altnum.htm You type Alt plus a three or four number sequence on the numpad (with numlock on) to generate special characters (see below). If I was really dedicated, I would go all the way with a Spanish keyboard and change the default language/keyboard on my system (Windows XP: Control Panel->Regional_and_Language_Settings). But I use my system primarily for English. Thanks, Kramer Alt key plus 3 or 4 digits on numpad: 160 á 130 é 161 í 164 ñ 162 ó 163 ú 129 ü 0193 Á 144 É 0205 Í 165 Ñ 0211 Ó 0218 Ú 154 Ü 168 ¿ 173 ¡
